Top Tips
- Start early- Develop a healthy daily routine from the first few weeks
- Relax- Leave room in your schedule to watch a film or to go out with friends
- Eat healthily, get enough sleep and exercise to keep you alert
- Avoid distractions- To avoid procrastinating, turn off your phone or tablet for a set period of time while doing Art or revising. If you keep your phone or laptop handy to look up notes or listen to music, log out of social media sites and YouTube.
- Reward yourself every half hour with a break but not for longer than ten minutes.
- Get on with it- It has to be done. Before sitting down to revise, make sure your bedroom or work space is tidy or at least clutter free so you don't have an excuse. Revising can be better after you have settled down and finished homework but in the holidays it's better during the day, not too early or too late.
Year 11 Mocks may be time consuming but they are to prepare you for having more than ten exams in two weeks. Talk to friends about an exam before you take it so you remember you aren't going through it alone. However, it's best not to compare answers afterwards.
